We provide an affordable and effective way for hotels and destinations to reach thousands of travel agents during the peak travel and booking time

Starting January 3, 2012, the team at AskMeInc, a sales and marketing company for Caribbean hotels and destinations, will be meeting with more than 1,000 travel agencies in top markets. The AskMe Winter Blitz occurs annually and runs from January through April, the peak travel season for the Caribbean. Each of the four AskMeInc business development managers will visit with at least 250 travel agencies in their areas and share new information on the hotels they represent, to include opportunities to work together and increase business.

The AskMe associates will be targeting the Midwest (Chicago, Ohio), the South (Atlanta, North Carolina, South Carolina), the Northeast (NY, NJ, PA, CT) and Texas. Hotels and destinations can be part of the program and travel agencies can request a visit by contacting AskMeInc at 1-877-44-ASK ME.

“We provide an affordable and effective way for hotels and destinations to reach thousands of travel agents during the peak travel and booking time,” stated Hilary Lanzer, Vice President of Sales at AskMeInc, “Our sales blitz program is not just a hit-and-run effort. We hit the road and stay on the road for months. And it works. Our programs drive revenues and results for our clients. For one client we increased sales by more than 28% in one quarter.”

AskMeInc offers two program options for clients. Hotels (and destinations) can sign up to be part of the AskMe Winter Blitz where AskMe associates introduce the hotel to the travel agents and then provide the contact information for the agents for the hotel team to follow-up with at the end of the four-month project. The second, more popular option, is a complete sales & marketing program where AskMe represents the hotel or destination all year, including providing private label call center services, reaching out to the travel agents on a consistent and timely basis and generating exposure via a variety of sales & marketing initiatives.

“With more than 5.7 million American visitors to the Caribbean in 2010, it is important to stand out from the competition and nothing does that better than face-to-face meeting with the travel agents who book the vacations,” stated Lanzer. AskMeInc has represented hotels and destinations in their AskMe Winter Blitz since 2009. Lanzer anticipates that more travel agencies will be eager to participate as travel to Europe declined last year while Caribbean travel increased according to Office of Travel and Tourism Industries (OTTI) in the "U.S. International Air Travel Statistics Report".

AskMeInc is a Miami-based firm that serves as an outside sales and marketing company for hotels and destinations, offering private call center services, travel agent training and incentive programs, and representation at consumer and trade shows.
