San Diego, CA (PRWEB) December 15, 2011

December has been dubbed the "Month of Giving" by Good Samaritan Program TV. Each episode in December will be a part of a series about giving and being generous.

GSP TV is a new, weekly financial education program filled with practical teaching, viewer feedback, money tips and interviews with Christian leaders and speakers from around the world.

The most recent episode of GSP TV was released on FaithChannel.com on Monday. The week’s topic, “The Power of Giving”, touched on different ways people can give and why it is important to do so.

"Giving is about looking first at what is in your heart before counting what is in your hand," Mark Peterson, creator of the Good Samaritan Program, said during this week’s episode. "Giving reminds us how much we have been given."

Peterson touched on three important stages of giving: getting started, or sowing; growing; and flowing, or being consistent. He also encouraged viewers to donate to needed organizations such as Know.Think.Act. Know.Think.Act. is an online community that connects people to the needs of the world. One hundred percent of money donated on knowthinkact.com goes directly toward the intended need.

Jurgen Matthesius, a featured speaker on the Good Samaritan Program DVD series as well as the senior pastor of C3 San Diego, was the special guest speaker on the episode.
