The beauty, wildlife, and adventures of Africa will be experienced by all who attend the African Sporting Exposition (ASE) next month. Wildlife and hunting enthusiasts no longer need to travel west of the Mississippi to experience an expo of this magnitude. The Southeast’s only exposition of this scale brings the best outfitters from the countries of Africa to Charlotte. Attendees receive a one-on-one opportunity to get questions answered by Africa’s finest, in a comfortable, exclusive atmosphere.
The expo is ideal for anyone who’s planning - or just dreaming about an African hunting, fishing or photo safari. An immense collection of exclusive sporting equipment, optics, and African wildlife art will be on display for viewing and for purchase.

The “Africa Full Throttle Kick-Off Reception” at the NASCAR Hall of Fame Museum will be hosted by NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver, Martin Truex, Jr. on Wednesday, January 25, 2012. Truex, the ASE Spokesman and Ambassador, is an avid hunter and is currently planning his first African hunting adventure. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet Truex, experience the Hall of Fame, and enjoy beverages provided by Charlotte’s own: Carolina Premium Beverages.
The public is invited to attend the “Meet the Artist” Cocktail Reception Friday evening and receive a 15% discount on admission when they purchase during Early Registration. Premier wildlife art will be on display from the most talented artists such as: Banovich Fine Art, Grant Hacking, Larry Seymour, RC Hunt Wildlife Art, Roy van der Merwe – Leopardeye, and Jofie Lamprecht Photography. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet world-renowned artists and enjoy fine wines, complementary of Skyline Distributing (headquartered in Asheville, NC.) The evening offers an intimate atmosphere with access to the best African wildlife artists in the world.
Each person who purchases a ticket to attend an event will be entered into a door-prize raffle to win prizes from the Expo’s major sponsors. Prizes include a Krieghoff Classic Big Five double rifle package in .470 Nitro Express caliber valued at more than $13,500 and two Land Rover of Charlotte Driving Experience packages at the Biltmore in Asheville, NC.
