In the fourth quarter of 2011, Balluff added several new positions in sales, marketing, and engineering. Their recent new hires and promotions include:
Steve MacKillop has joined the Balluff Industry Management Team as Tier 1 Manager in the Detroit area. Steve has spent his career working in all facets of Industrial Automation product and service deliverables to the Automotive Market. His experience includes working directly for manufacturers, a manufacturer’s representative company, a distributor, as well as a systems integrator.
Mark DiSera recently joined the Automotive Team as a Strategic Account Manager for RFID products in the Detroit area. Mark previously spent 5 years at Turck in product management and sales roles. Prior to Turck, Mark was with Rockwell Automation for 6 years in sales engineering roles.
Christian Dow has been promoted to Industry Manager for the Semiconductor industry. He will be responsible for uncovering opportunities and growing this new industry for Balluff. Christian has been with Balluff for almost four years working as a Territory Sales Manager and Channel Manager for the western region of the United States. Christian has spent his career working in industrial sales for distributors and manufacturers.
Shawn Day has been promoted to the Market Manager, Object Detection position working in the Marketing Department. He will be primarily responsible for inductive proximity sensors and ultrasonic sensors. Shawn has been with Balluff for three years, providing outstanding customer and technical support in his previous role as Technical Support Specialist.
Denny Rahtz was just hired to the Balluff Customizing/Engineering team as a Mechanical Engineer. Denny grew up in Cincinnati and graduated from the University of Cincinnati in 2008 with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. Prior to joining Balluff, Denny worked for Honda R&D doing mechanical design for the electrical systems group.
