Salt Lake City's Broadview Entertainment Arts University, or BEAU, will offer a career program in digital video and media production. This program is for creative people who love storyboarding, sound and lighting, writing scripts, creating motion graphics and more. Students can earn a bachelor of fine arts (BFA) or an associate of applied science (AAS).

This program is for people who love working with visual production.

Broadview Entertainment Arts University, or BEAU, announced today that it will offer a digital video and media production program at the new arts and production school. The program presents the video production process from start to finish, including storyboarding, lighting, sound, editing and production management. Students can either earn a bachelor of fine arts (BFA) or an associate of applied science (AAS).

According to BEAU’s Dean of Programs Mitch Hare, “This program is designed for people who love working with visual production. We live in a visually dynamic world, from the traditional media like film and television to the quickly emerging internet and mobile world. Anyone interested in studying digital video editing software, script writing, motion graphics, and sound and lighting production should find value in this exciting program.”

Digital Video and Media Production is part of a group of entertainment and production programs offered at Broadview Entertainment Arts University. “The vision of our school,” said Hare, “is to offer our students a culture of creativity, where they can truly be inspired to discover hidden talents and untapped potential.” Students will have the opportunity to collaborate with other creative individuals pursuing studio arts, production arts and entertainment business at the school.

Mitch Hare is a strong advocate of quality arts and production education. His experience as an educator and administrator in creative education includes work as an instructor of music and entertainment business at Globe University-Minneapolis and as the director of programs at the Institute of Production and Recording, Minneapolis, Minn. A lifelong musician, Mitch continues to perform professionally as a piano player and vocalist. He holds degrees in music and management.
