Web app offers Internet users ability to move email between accounts

Mailbox Mover, a consumer-focused email migration app, has launched with the public debut of its website, MailboxMover.com, to offer consumers a lost-cost option for copying email between accounts. Almost 90% of the population of the United States and Western Europe have access to email, but many first-time Internet users sign up for addresses they may later regret or wish to change.

Problems arise when it’s time for an electronic change-of-address. Until now, consumers have had to choose between switching to a more desirable email address or service provider and holding on to their existing messages.

Nearly all webmail services and ISPs offer forwarding, but forwarding alone does not preserve existing email on a system. Mailbox Mover uniquely fills that void by copying unlimited amounts of email between accounts for $7 USD. For security and privacy, the highest grade encryption available is used to transfer the email and login information is only stored long enough to complete the migration.

Although Mailbox Mover focuses on consumer migrations, it has partnered with the business-to-business software firm X13 to provide multi-user migrations to businesses and other organizations.
