Our online programs were designed for busy working adults who want to advance and enhance their professional lives, and we're glad that we can assist those students in receiving a valuable education.
SAN ANTONIO, Texas (PRWEB) December 15, 2011
Our Lady of the Lake University announces the launch of their new online degree programs; a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and a Master of Science in Organizational Leadership (MSOL). In keeping with the college’s long-standing tradition of providing educational opportunities that foster growth spiritually, personally and professionally, both online degree programs aim to meet the ever-growing demand for universities to provide distance education and to establish master’s programs for working adults who wish to further their education. Those interested in the MBA can chose from two specializations, Management and Healthcare Management, while students in the MSOL program can specialize in Leadership or pursue an interdisciplinary track. Enrollment for the programs began earlier this year.
Our Lady of the Lake University is launching these online programs at a vital time for online education. Within the past several years, distance or online education has changed drastically. Eduventures, an education-focused research and consulting firm, has predicted that by 2014 a possible 3.97 million students will be registered in online-only courses in higher education. At this time, with at least 25 percent of college students taking at least one class online, according to Babson Research Group, it is becoming essential for colleges to offer online courses.
“Online education is an extremely important service for students who cannot attend face-to-face classes and still wish to further their education, so we are proud to announce the launch of these online master’s degree programs,” said J. Kim McNutt, assistant vice president for Continued Learning. “Our Lady of the Lake University has always been concerned with offering our students the best degree programs and course selections to help them succeed in their area of study, prepare them for the current job market, and help them discover their purpose in life. Our online programs were designed for busy working adults who want to advance and enhance their professional lives, and we’re glad that we can assist those students in receiving a valuable education.”
Students interested in applying for either of the online master’s degree programs should be prepared to provide the following: a completed application form, a personal statement about their interest in OLLU, a $25 application fee, official transcripts from all higher education institutions, and a completed resume.
