Discovery Bay Games, a leader in app-based game accessories, along with children’s media brand, Highlights for Children, announce the launch of three new iPad game apps designed to work with the Duo Pop and Duo Plink accessories for iPad. The ‘Highlights Hidden Pictures Countdown™’, ‘Highlights Buzz Blast™’ and ‘Highlights™ Memory Mix-Up’ Apps are available now on the App Store.

Highlights Hidden Pictures Countdown™
Make your Highlights experience even more interactive with Highlights Hidden Pictures Countdown. Players search black and white illustrations on the iPad screen to find hidden objects. Illustrations come to life with color, sound and animation. Three different modes let you play against the clock or challenge friends. The Highlights Hidden Pictures Countdown App can be played with or without the Duo Pop game accessory.

Highlights Buzz Blast™
In this heads-up, social game for the whole family, players compare pictures, answer funny questions, complete silly sentences and blurt out tongue twisters before time runs out. Featuring beloved content and illustrations from Highlights magazine, the Buzz Blast App can be played with or without the Duo Pop game accessory.

Highlights™ Memory Mix-Up
In Highlights Memory Mix-Up, players take a quick look at an illustration and then answer questions about what they saw. Was the baseball player holding a bat or submarine sandwich? Players use Duo Plink to make their choice by placing a colored token on the spot matching their guess. When the correct answer is revealed, Plink rotates and banks tokens for all correct guesses.

“Whether on an iPad, or in a book or magazine, kids love skill-building games that are both challenging and fun," said Highlights Executive VP, Shelly Stotzer. "That type of 'Fun with a Purpose' play is at the heart of everything we create at Highlights. We're thrilled to have a partner who not only values that great play experience but also can translate it to the best and smartest new technologies.”

“We saw an amazing opportunity to bring beloved Highlights content to life through these game apps on iPad,” said Craig Olson, CEO of Discovery Bay Games. “We’re proud of our continued partnership and plan to launch more innovative products in the future.”

The Highlights Hidden Pictures Countdown, Highlights Buzz Blast and Highlights Memory Mix-Up Apps are available for free from the App Store on iPad or at http://www.itunes.com/appstore. The Duo Pop and Duo Plink accessories are available for $39.99 and $29.99 respectively at major retailers.
