RealManage announced today that Brycewood Homeowners Association, a community professionally managed by RealManage, won the Award of Distinction from the San Antonio chapter of Community Associations Institute. The award was announced at the Annual Holiday and Award Gala that was held on Thursday, December 8 at the Club at Sonterra. Awardees were selected by the independent distinguished personalities of Rep. John Garza, Texas Legislature; Loretta Olison, Department of Planning & Community Development, City of San Antonio; Susan Schopp, Executive Director of San Antonio’s Neighborhood Resource Center; and Greg Simmons of KSAT – TV, Channel 12.

Criteria for awards was established for Community Association of the Year that includes the size of development; type of the association; developer or homeowner control; type of management and participation in CAI and its programs. Specific operations are reviewed to test and establish degrees of excellence in compliance with legal documents; financial oversight and planning; communication with residents; preservation of amenities; diligence in business operations and administration; and providing a social network.

"Winning an award does say a lot about the management of the association and we wouldn’t have been able to do half the things we’ve done this year without the support of a good board who tries to act quickly, and a management company that listens to us and addresses our concerns and assists us in all the things that happen every day," states Tiffany Hadley, President, Brycewood Homeowners Association, Inc.

"We are pleased to be partnered with a community worthy of this distinction," states Steve Jordan, President, Branch Operations. "Given the board members work as volunteers on behalf of their community, it is extremely rewarding to see their efforts and activities being recognized by receiving this well-deserved award."
