Drawing from his life experiences and imagination, while incorporating a bit of history, Eddie J. Carr delivers his new collection of poetry, Truth Is: Life, Love & Humor (published by AuthorHouse). These simple, genuine and accessible poems recount Carr’s homespun values and small-town perspective.

Carr hopes readers will take away messages from his straight-forward writing style. He uses imagination, the stories he has gathered over the years and the sage advice he has received to bring readers simple, inspirational advice. An Exerpt from the book:

TYPICAL ME

i don’t use no capital letters
what i write ain’t much at all
i don’t use no real big words
the words i use are small
i don’t speak no foreign language
like words of senor or we
all i do is speak english
cause i am a typical me.

“We all have imagination, dream and fantasize about things. We all have stories to tell, and things in life that we learn from and want to share with others,” says Carr. “This is what I have done with my book, Truth Is.”
