WSP, as part of the consortium Medic OUH, has been appointed to provide multidisciplinary engineering services for the new Odense University Hospital in southern Denmark. This is the country’s largest ever hospital project, with an area of 234,000 m2 and a project value of 6.3 billion Danish kroner.

In addition to the hospital buildings it will also include a university faculty building to provide new opportunities for teaching and medical research as well as a first class environment for patient care.
The contract for the construction of the new super hospital was signed on Monday 5 December. Construction will commence in 2015 and is due for completion by 2021.
Medic OUH comprises WSP, White Architects, KHR Architects, Dall & Lindhardtsen, EKJ Rådgivende Engineers and Oluf Jorgensen.
