Fine Cooking, a Taunton Press publication, announced today that it has launched a free Christmas Dinner Menu Maker iPad App. Stephen Giannetti, Taunton’s senior vice president of advertising, made the announcement.

From the publishers of the Thanksgiving Menu Maker, with more than 40,000 downloads, the new Christmas Dinner Menu Maker iPad App lets users build a four-course holiday menu and leave the shopping list and scheduling to Fine Cooking. The interactive Menu Maker allows cooks to choose from Fine Cooking’s all-time favorite Christmas recipes, including beef tenderloin, baked ham, roast turkey and hearty baked pastas. The easy-to-use app lets users customize their meal to suit their family’s traditions, from casual open house-style dishes that will feed a crowd to wow-inducing recipes for more formal celebrations.

Additionally, the app will generate an interactive shopping list and preparation timelines based on cooks’ unique choices. How-to videos, a handy baking guide and advice on what to drink, how to make gingerbread men and what to bake as a gift round out the app.

“From super-simple dishes ready in minutes to pull-out-all-the-stops holiday projects, Fine Cooking’s app offers recipes to suit every style of celebrating,” said Giannetti.
