IntelliChief Paperless Process Management
We’ve had so much success with IntelliChief that we’ve rolled IntelliChief out across our company enterprise-wide, location by location, and are now also using IntelliChief to leverage workflow within our processes.

IntelliChief LLC, the leading provider of document management and document imaging solutions for the IBM i (System i, iSeries, AS/400), today announced that Grede LLC has chosen to expand their IntelliChief document management solution to leverage workflow capabilities.
Over the past century, Grede LLC has turned a single iron foundry in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin into a world-class metal components operation with facilities spanning the United States. Headquartered in Southfield, MI, Grede is a leading designer, developer and manufacturer of high-quality cast, machined and assembled components for the transportation and industrial markets, including agriculture, construction, rail and wind energy.
Grede LLC originally purchased IntelliChief in April 2010 to capture, store and retrieve documents across their 16 plant locations. IntelliChief is seamlessly integrated with Grede’s ERP, B&L Blis400, which enables extremely smooth capture, storage and retrieval functions.
Shortly after implementation of IntelliChief, Grede was able to realize immediate improvements to their document processes. Some of the biggest advantages include reduced paperwork and the ability to provide immediate access to all imaged documents. They have also experienced process efficiencies with IntelliChief by eliminating misfiled and lost documents. With IntelliChief, they have enabled users to electronically forward documents for review and approval without the burdens associated with manual handling of paper.
“We’ve had so much success with IntelliChief that we’ve rolled IntelliChief out across our company enterprise-wide, location by location, and are now also using IntelliChief to leverage workflow within our processes,” said Greg Wiggins, Grede Director of Information Technology.
