With more than 20 years of experience in developing, improving and managing manufacturing quality in the technology and aerospace industries, Hobbs will assist in overseeing Bluff Manufacturing’s Fort Worth production facility and its employees, ensuring on-time delivery of the company’s yard ramps, dock boards, dock levelers, wheel risers, mezzanines, stairways, service and maintenance platforms, and Crash Guard warehouse safety equipment.
An accomplished plant manager with extensive experience in lean manufacturing management, Hobbs brings a unique combination of large company, high volume manufacturing and small company, custom manufacturing experience. Hobbs began his career with Texas Instruments working in the Defense Electronics Group as a production planner and then a subcontract manager. His career development took him into engineering development for Motorola/Cisco Joint Venture, then on to several upper level managerial plant operations positions with Everett Charles Technologies and Honeywell. He earned a bachelor’s of science degree in mechanical engineering from the U.S. Military Academy in West Point, NY, and is also Six Sigma Greenbelt Certified.
