Orases, a Frederick-based Web agency specializing in interactive business and technology solutions, announced the acquisition of FNP Interactive, a leading local provider of website development and hosting services.
"We like to partner with, build and grow business, and this acquisition combines FNPI's client base with a locally award-winning firm, uniquely positioned to help develop distinct competitive advantages through the use of interactive technology," said Nicholas Damoulakis, co-founder and president of Orases.
Randall Family LLC, the parent company of FNP Interactive, is leaving the Web development and hosting business to focus on its core print and online publications associated with The Frederick News-Post.
"Our top priority was finding a good home for our FNP Interactive clients," said Geordie Wilson, publisher of The News-Post. "As a local company with cutting-edge technical capabilities and a commitment to customer service and the community, Orases stood out from the pack."
With this acquisition, Orases now has the opportunity to work with and build on those relationships with FNPI's local and regional clients, offering new and improved technology solutions and catering to the specific needs of each business to enhance their business goals.
Orases will use the specific skill set of each member on its diverse team so that the transfer of business is smooth. While the core of Orases is building website and e-commerce solutions, it is also able to offer additional information technology solutions such as newer and more secure email solutions, cloud-based products and an array of hosting solutions from shared, dedicated and cloud servers.
Since its inception, Orases has been a strong supporter of local nonprofit organizations. Whether it's participating in local fundraisers by walking in high heels for Heartly House or being "arrested" for MDS, or whether it's donating sites and Web services for Downtown Frederick Partnership and other nonprofit organizations around town -- Orases is proud to contribute to the communities where we live and work. Because of their dedication to such causes, Orases will offer many free and discounted solutions to FNPI's current nonprofit clients.
