HindSite Software is a field service software company who has been serving contractors for over a decade. With new technology coming out almost every day, HindSite has worked to keep up with these growing trends and has developed its own Android app to make the field side of the service industry easier. As of the beginning of December, the app has been available to customers in a beta form.
Michael Tran, the developer, brought the idea of the application to his supervisors almost a year ago. “I had heard of these new applications coming out and one of our customers even called in asking if we would have it anytime soon. After hearing about all the things the application could do in the field, it only made sense to design it. The companies we work with can really benefit from this Android app.”

Customers feedback on the Android App has been very positive thus far, with great eagerness to see the program fully developed with the robust “finished” feature list.
The Android smart phone is a much smaller and simpler device to use. Technicians use their smart phones in the field to capture job data on site, which is then wirelessly transferred to the office for paperless billing, productivity tracking, and other management functions. This area of software development allows HindSite to keep up with the changes in the mobile technology market. HindSite also has field versions for laptops, netbooks, and iPhones or iPads through their mobile web technology.
