Korea Ginseng Corporation’s U.S. branch (http://www.kgcus.com) concluded 2011 by holding a meaningful event to give back to the community and share a cultural experience with valued customers. KGC held their “Cheong-Kwan-Jang Sharing Happiness Fundraising Party” to give appreciation to VIP clients and customers for their love and support in 2011. Cheong-Kwan-Jang is KGC’s 113 year old brand of 6-years-grown Korean red ginseng, sold worldwide and winner of the Most Trusted Brand awards in South Korea for health food.
KGC provided a Korean movie as well as Korean food luncheon at the upscale Madang 621 restaurant and CGV Cinema. A fundraiser was held to contribute to charitable institutions that focus on the health and well-being, nationally, with all proceeds going to the NCOA (National Council on Aging) and supporting research at integrative medical centers. KGC especially gave additional thanks to those guests who donated $100 and more by giving them special gifts.
Headquartered in Washington, D.C., the National Council on Aging (NCOA) works with thousands of organizations across the country to help seniors find jobs, fight poverty, improve the health, live independently, and remain active in their communities. A portion of proceeds will be also donated to UC integrative medical centers, which develop models of comprehensive care, emphasizing the promotion of health, disease prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation through the integrated practices of traditional Western, Eastern, and modern medicine for a holistic approach, scientifically designed to improve the outcome of the patient.

KGC’s “Cheong-Kwan-Jang Sharing Happiness Fundraising Party” was held Saturday, December 17th, at CGV Cinemas in Koreatown, Los Angeles. The featured movie, entitled, “Sunny,” is one of this year’s box office hits in South Korea. The film reminisces about the protagonist’s middle-school days, while re-centering the meaning of her life in a comic yet touching way.
