FastTrak Auto Shop Management Systems Release 6.0 is Now Available

Risoria Limited is pleased to announce the availability of release 6.0 of FastTrak Auto Shop Manager and FastTrak Tire Shop Manager. Many improvements and new features have been added to FastTrak increasing the already wide array of support capabilities. Among the upgrades are increased parts integration and processing capabilities, expanded marketing capabilities, enhanced sales support, additional shop management tools and enhanced tire shop management capabilities.

In FastTrak Release 6.0 - support for the most important processes in an Auto Repair Shop or Tire Shop have been expanded and improved.

We are pleased to announce availability of release 6.0 of our FastTrak Auto Shop Manager and FastTrak Tire Shop Manager systems. Improvements in the areas of parts integration and processing capabilities, expanded marketing capabilities, enhanced sales support, additional shop management tools and enhanced tire shop management capabilities are included.

Parts integration allows sourcing and direct ordering of parts improving productivity and saving time. FastTrak now includes a link to Internet Auto Parts which provides links to many parts suppliers including Carquest, Autozone and O’Reilly. Also FastTrak now includes interface capabilities with Nexpart which provides interfaces with many major suppliers such as AC Delco, Uniselect and Federated. And FastTrak now has interface capabilities with DST Turboparts which provides links to several major parts distributors.

Parts and Inventory processing have been expanded to include the European part number format and sort. This feature automatically formats VW/Audi, Mercedes and BMW part numbers and provides special sorting capabilities based on the sections of the part number. Barcode label printing capability has been added allowing for barcode labels to be generated for part numbers and inventory locations. Also, alias part numbers can be used to reference the same part number to provide support for different vendors using their part numbers for the same part.

The FastTrak AllData Labor Guide interface now works over the Internet so it is no longer necessary to load disks locally to use this feature. This saves a considerable amount of time and allows the information to be kept current.

The Marketing capabilities of FastTrak have also been expanded. FastTrak can now interface with DemandForce to provide customer relationship management support. Also, FastTrak now includes the ability to send automated emails for reminder and marketing purposes.

Sales support has been expanded as well. The system now supports progress or partial billings. This allows multiple invoices to be generated for the same repair order and the payer of the invoice can be specified to support such situations as extended warranties. Also, FastTrak allows for the text on invoices to be colored so certain areas can be highlighted. In addition, documents such as pictures, scanned invoices, etc. can be stored and linked to a customer, vehicle, part or repair order.

Management support has been expanded to include improved information availability for decision making purposes. Time reporting has been expanded to allow for technicians to clock on to overhead accounts enabling them to report time spent not actually working on vehicles. This allows for employee efficiency and shop proficiency measurements. Also, labor and part warranty reporting can be linked to the original repair enabling performance measurements for suppliers and employees.

Productivity based enhancements include the ability to have tasks and post repair items automatically added to repair orders when they’re created, improved processing and color coding for year, make and model specific tasks and dynamic list search for tasks and parts allowing them to be quickly identified and added to quotes, repair orders and vendor invoices.

Tire shop management support has been expanded to include SKU management. The tire shop can specify the brands they carry and FastTrak will automatically maintain the tire records for them. FastTrak will add the manufacturer SKU numbers for all selected brands including tire size, speed rating, load index, mileage warranty, traction rating, temperature rating and tread wear rating. Also as tires are discontinued by a manufacturer FastTrak will automatically flag them as such.

As in every major release of FastTrak - support for the most important processes in an Auto Repair Shop or Tire Shop have been expanded and improved. Release 6.0 provides enhanced capabilities in areas that will impact the success of businesses supported by FastTrak Management Systems.
