Capturing moments and memories with photographs has never been more popular. Facebook alone hosts 140 billion pictures and adds more than 200 million every day. Despite this popularity, enjoying photos is often unsatisfying — especially on popular mobile devices such as the NOOK Tablet. Common issues include collections that are split across multiple online services, websites that aren’t designed for tablet interfaces, and photos that can only be viewed when connected to the web.

Woven is the only photo viewing app for the NOOK Tablet that brings pictures together from multiple online services, takes advantage of the device’s touch interface for effortless viewing, and works both with and without an internet connection. After users link the app to their online photo-sharing sites — Facebook, Picasa, Flickr, and Shutterfly are supported at launch — they can effortlessly glide through their photos in a single, consolidated photo album. Users can view their photos both on and offline, something not possible when photo services are accessed through the device’s web browser.

“There are few things that capture memories and emotions as well as photos. Starting with Woven on the NOOK Tablet, but soon extending to other mobile devices and the desktop itself, we aspire to help people organize, protect, and enjoy their photos and the memories that come with them,” said John Chuang, litl’s founder and CEO.
