We have worked with membership bodies and associations for several years.
Birmingham, UK (PRWEB UK) 23 December 2011
Vitis PR, a B2B agency in Birmingham, recently won the contract to manage public relations for the Institute of Consulting. The contract will see Vitis PR raising the professional body’s profile with members, buyers of consultancy services and the consulting industry as a whole.
Founded in 2007, following a merger between the Chartered Management Institute (CMI), the Institute of Management Consultants (IMC) and the Institute of Business Advisors (IBA), the Institute of Consulting was set up to promote excellence in consulting across the UK through training and accreditation for professionals already in the consulting industry as well as those seeking to move into consulting. The Institute of Consulting also helps buyers of consulting services find professional, credible consultants through guides and checklists as well as a national register of consultants.
Following a re-branding exercise and a renewed focus on growth, the Institute of Consulting chose Vitis PR following a three-way competitive pitch. Vitis PR will support the Institute of Consulting's aims of growing membership and attracting younger members through a tailored media relations programme. The PR agency's extensive experience within the consulting industry, regional business sector and strong media contacts in the national press were just a few of the reasons why the Institute of Consulting chose Vitis PR for its new campaign.
Adam Thompson, Marketing Manager at the Institute of Consulting, explains: “We chose Vitis PR because we wanted an agency that really understood our business strategically as well as possessing the competencies to raise our profile in the national, regional and business press; securing articles within key trade titles and raising our profile with both existing and new members."
Vitis kicked off its PR campaign alongside the Institute of Consulting’ launch of Battle for the Boardroom, an online game, which has been played by 1.7 million individuals from around the world in just 6 months. Developed in partnership with the Chartered Management Institute (CMI), the game’s launch proved so successful that in just seven days it reached number one in the European and global viral gaming charts. The next stage of Vitis PR's plan to engage key audiences is to place articles detailing the use of consultants and how to buy consultancy services in the national and business press, using the wide range guidance and training materials that the Institute of Consulting provides.
The Institute of Consulting contract is just one of many Vitis PR has won this year, further enhancing the agency’s portfolio, which includes software start-ups, growing businesses and established players within the B2B market.
Jaspal Sahota, Director at Vitis PR, concludes: “We have a range of B2B PR clients and we have worked with membership bodies and associations for several years – we’re delighted to be to add the Institute of Consulting to our portfolio. Our client team is made up of senior-level team members only, providing the Institute of Consulting with top-tier service and support from day one.”
