San Bernardino, California (PRWEB) December 24, 2011

Certified Aviation Services LLC (“CAS”) announced today that it has sold the assets of its Base Maintenance Group to Aviation & Defense, Inc. (“ADI”)

CAS is a world-class provider of line and heavy maintenance, appearance services and aircraft modification services for commercial and military aircraft. CAS distinguishes itself by providing its customers with innovative, cost-effective solutions when and where they need it. Currently CAS has 23 locations throughout the United States and holds both an FAA 145 repair station certificate as well as an EASA 145 certificate, servicing virtually every commercial aircraft in operation.

The divestiture of the Base Maintenance Group, based at San Bernardino International Airport (SBD) in San Bernardino, CA allows CAS to focus on its core capabilities within the line maintenance and modification services market for future growth. “CAS prides itself in its 21 year heritage of uncompromised quality and growth in the line maintenance market and is excited at the many opportunities on the horizon”, said John Landherr, President of CAS.

“CAS had grown its base maintenance business significantly over the past five years, but wished to concentrate on the expanding opportunities in the line services field. The base maintenance operation is well positioned to accelerate this growth as part of ADI,” concluded Landherr.

CAS and ADI will continue to cooperate to provide exceptional maintenance services to common customers.
