"We are thrilled that Gordon and his recent books are starting to get the recognition they deserve."

Minstrel’s Alley author, Gordon Basichis, was selected for Ron Knight's Top 100 Facebook Authors's List. The list is drawn from some 8,000 authors with a presence on Facebook . Basichis is number fifty on the list of 100.

"We are thrilled that Gordon Basichis was selected for Ron Knight's list of the top 100 Authors on Facebook," said M.J. Hammond, Minstrel's Alley Publisher. "Gordon has been writing for a long time and his recent books are starting to get the recognition they deserve.

"The Guys Who Spied for China, a Roman a Clef, about Chinese Espionage networks operating in the United States, was a Quarterfinalist in the Amazon Breakthrough Novel Awards," said Hammond.. "The Blood Orange is a romantic mystery thriller in the tradition of L.A. Noir in a contemporary setting. It is getting nice reviews, and we have had calls about the movie rights," she added.

Hammond described both books as Hammond describes the book as quirky and authentic with touches of dark humor that will engage the reader. “If you are looking for the basic spy book or mystery thriller then Basichis may not be your cup of tea,” said Hammond. He tells a much richer story than you usually find.. And with tensions growing again between the United States and China, The Guys Who Spied for China is more current than ever, " she added.

Hammond noted that Basichis' first published novel, The Constant Travellers, is now available on the Chinese Amazon website. "It's a definite breakthrough of sorts, said Hammond. "For a long time the book has been selling well on Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and other venues in the United States, Canada, Japan and Europe," she said. But not in China. Minstrel's Alley is hopeful The Constant Travellers will be well received in China where readers are hungry for less conventional literature.

Hammond described Ron Knight and his Facebook List of 100 Top Authors as a dynamic influence in the contemporary world of publishing. "Ron's blog, UpAuthors.Com, is a respected source of information for publisher and authors alike," she said.
