With Christmas approaching, many will be watching movies such as “Miracle on 34th Street” and “It’s a Wonderful Life,” films containing holiday miracles warming the hearts of viewers. The Bible, however, also tells of numerous miracles showcasing God’s intervention, from the story of Jesus raising Lazarus from the dead to Moses parting the Red Sea. Author Martha Gast-Rindler is a true believer in miracles and showcases her own experiences with them in her new book “Once Upon a Miracle” (published by WestBow Press).
“After the death of my husband Don, I gradually watched my life change,” explains Gast-Rindler. “In many instances, he seemed to always be with me. It confirmed my thinking that we are never far apart whether in Heaven or on Earth.”
“I stood there just looking at the perfection of this bell and had thoughts of Emily. Only Emily could create something as beautiful as this bell—of course with the help of the Good Lord. I knew it was a message for me and probably for Christmas. I certainly did not take it as a wedding bell. It was so beautiful and could definitely be called a little miracle.”
“Once Upon a Miracle” was written with the overall theme that miracles come from love. “True love reaches far above the earth and incorporates God and a throng of past relatives and friends we may have forgotten.”
By telling her story, Gast-Rindler hopes to bring comfort and peace to others through her experiences with little miracles.
About the Author
Martha Gast-Rindler lives in a small community in west central Ohio. It's a growing community, mostly Catholic, where everyone seems connected in some way or another. This area is known as “God’s Country.”. She has much to be thankful for. The creativity and gifts of little miracles revealed in this book were given to the author out of love from God. It began with a curious feeling and a desire for more divine knowledge, and God came to satisfy her heart. The gifts gave her a sense of belonging to both sides of love.
