Andrew Hawley, of Vintage Rock Posters, announces his plans to search for Bob Dylan concert posters from his coming home concert at the Minneapolis Auditorium on November 5, 1965.  According to Hawley, “Dylan grew up in Northern Minnesota and went to college at the University of Minneapolis in 1959. He played music as a unknown in the various clubs and coffee shops in Dinkytown near the University. What is amazing is that there is a recording of Dylan playing and signing at his apartment above Gray’s Drug Store at the Minnesota History Center. Dylan dropped out of school and moved to New York to become one of the most renowned folk singer songwriters.”

Hawley continues, “The 1965 Minneapolis concert was a homecoming show for Bob Dylan. That summer Dylan shocked his fan base by going electric and the Minneapolis concert had mixed reviews. One local music review called the concert "tedious, uninspired, and harsh." Dylan must have felt like the prophet who is never accepted in his home town.” Hawley adds, “The Bob Dylan Minneapolis Auditorium concert poster is 14x22 inches. It is printed on heavy cardboard and features a Daniel Kramer stage show photo of Dylan. This photo was used throughout the most of his 1965 tour. The poster was printed by the Murray Poster Printing in New York City.”

Hawley will pay $5,000 for a Bob Dylan Minneapolis Auditorium concert poster or any original 1962-1966 Bob Dylan concert posters. Any condition is accepted. Sellers will be paid in cash within 24 hours guaranteed. For more information, go to http://www.vintageconcertposterbuyer.com/gallery_dylan.html
