The ScheduledCards.com (personal use) and ScheduledNotes.com (commercial use) websites allow users to quickly and easily schedule groups of contacts – even entire contact lists – to receive email greeting cards for virtually every occasion that would be sent over the course of a year. Businesses can also use the ScheduledNotes site to create one time, or recurring schedules for custom announcements, appointment reminders, thank you notes, and coupons, all in a matter of minutes.
ScheduledCards and ScheduledNotes both feature a simple interface, contact importing from virtually any program, attractive email cards that are sent directly to the recipient, group scheduling features and thousands of occasion cards to choose from. “The greeting card aspect of the program lets us conduct a more passive email marketing campaign" says Dr. Avi Rubin, a Dentist and co-founder of the company. "In fact, this is the first time since I started using email marketing, that my patients send me back a 'thank you for thinking of me' message, instead of a 'please take me off your list' message. Very few people consider a birthday or New Years card to be spam – even if it includes a coupon for 25% off their next hygiene appointment”.
Rubin and partner Steve Lipson originally wanted to “…create a system that remembered to send their email cards, to everyone we knew, for every possible occasion - even if we forgot." The idea developed into ScheduledCards.com, a free, personal use version of the site that lets users quickly send single cards, or schedule groups of contacts to receive cards for many different occasions.
ScheduledNotes.com, the business oriented “big brother” of ScheduledCards, developed into a subscription based, advertising free site designed specifically for commercial use. In addition to scheduling online greeting cards, it includes the ability to create different kinds of custom cards, set recurring schedules, and produce reports that let users quickly view and edit all of their scheduled events. “We see the site as a benefit for any type of business that wants to more effectively communicate with its clients, patients or customers,” says Lipson. That includes Doctors, Lawyers, Realtors, Insurance Agents, Property Managers and Retail Stores, to name just a few. "Successful email campaigns shouldn't spam the customer with offer after offer," says Lipson. "Those tactics generate a tremendous number of unsubscribe requests, and create customers who are desensitized to your emails". Lipson reports that beta testing generated very few unsubscribe requests, even when the greeting card (Thanksgiving, for example), included a special offer or a coupon.
