Announcing three new college partners, and over 10,000 questions rated on the Website, the Welcome to College team is closing out 2011 on a high note and gearing up for a very exciting 2012.
DePauw University and Saint Mary’s College in Indiana and High Point University in North Carolina signed on with Welcome to College in December bringing the total number of partner institutions to 20. High Point University represents the first school signed in North Carolina and the 10th different state with a partner school on Welcome to College.
While colleges continue to sign on to Welcome to College at a brisk clip, the colleges that are utilizing the tool are experiencing tremendous benefits from being on the site. Users have rated over 10,000 questions and left over 3,000 comments in the tool reviewing over 300 different colleges. University of Dayton has had the most activity with over 2,500 questions rated.
“The user activity on the Website is very promising as we head into 2012,” said Justin Bayer, Founder of Welcome to College. “We have a lot of exciting marketing plans in store which are focused on driving even greater number of users to Welcome to College.”
MARV, the Welcome to College Mobile Automated Research Vehicle, is a key part of this marketing plan. The team is planning a very aggressive travel schedule with MARV starting on Jan. 5th at the College and Career night at Lakota East high school and plan on visiting over 60 different high schools in Southwestern Ohio over the next 3 months before heading to Austin, Tx for South by Southwest.
