Longtime Cape Cod resident Alexander Rebelle releases first novel, “The Harmony Passion.”
Alexander Rebelle’s life story reads much like the stories he creates: full of whimsy, wonderment and adventure.
“I suppose it began in elementary school when I won my first poetry contest at only 10 years of age,” Rebelle recalls. “I look back at the contest now and I see what I think were the first signs of those around me beginning to take notice of my apparent skills as a writer.”
Rebelle’s skills as a writer propelled him through Cape Cod Academy and landed him squarely inside Cape Cod’s established artistic community.
“It took me until I was 23 years old to finally complete my first work of literary fiction,” says Rebelle, who is also a hobby musician.
In his first published book “The Harmony Passion” (published by AuthorHouse), Rebelle calls on his years of writing to deliver a complex novel of greed, corruption and psychological instability.
“’The Harmony Passion’ is unique in that it takes a classic mold for literary fiction and uses that mold to tell a contemporary story,” explains Rebelle. “On the one hand, the style of narration is refined and tempered in the tradition of many classic works of fiction; while on the other hand, the dialogue within the narration is distinctively modern and can be easily understood by even the most casual reader.”
While Rebelle envisions that readers of his book will come from diverse audiences, he is especially intent on reaching those who are swimming in despair. “This book serves as inspiration to those who feel the outrage but feel powerless to stand up for themselves.”
