CableFAXIES 2012: Call for Entries Announced

CableFAX has issued its call for entries for the “CableFAXIES” 2012 awards. The coveted awards program sets the industry benchmark for excellence across all areas of cable communications, public relations, and marketing. For a complete list of categories, go to:

Previous honorees of the CableFAXIES awards have included executives, leaders, and team members who have made tremendous strides in cable communications after implementing powerful public relations and marketing campaigns within the industry.

Eligibility to win is extended to any communications team or individual — corporate, agency, association, government or nonprofit entity. Entries must be postmarked or received by Feb. 17, 2012.

A TV show will not be seen unless it is properly sold to affiliates, viewers and the media. A cable subscription will not be bought if an operator’s marketing, public relations and community involvement efforts are not superior to that done by satellite distributors and the telcos. Recognizing the importance of marketing and PR in nearly every area of the cable business, CableFAX selects the leaders whose creativity and marketplace savvy propelled them to the top.

Submissions for the CableFAXIES entries are judged by a blue chip panel of corporate, agency, nonprofit and academic executives, as well as, by the staff of CableFAX. Entries are evaluated based on creativity, innovation, sound planning implementation and results. The most important criterion is proven success in aligning strategic objectives with end goals.

A reception in spring 2012 will be held to honor the winners. Honorable mentions will receive their CableFAXIES awards during an event at the Grand Hyatt in New York City.

The CableFAXIES awards are presented by the most trusted information source in cable: CableFAX Daily and sister brand CableFAX: The Magazine. The winners and honorable mentions will be saluted during an awards event in April 2011 in New York City. Several awards may be given in each category to recognize the different goals and challenges between independent operators and larger operators, small and large networks.
