Livingston, LA (PRWEB) December 31, 2011
Continental Kennel Club (CKC) announces a new partnership with PetFirst Healthcare which will extend medical and life insurance benefits to puppies and dogs registered with CKC beginning in January 2012.
All CKC registration packages will now include 30-day accident coverage up to $2,000 as well as a 30-day life insurance benefit of $300 for each dog at no additional cost.
“We are so excited about the new partnership between PetFirst Healthcare and CKC and the value it adds to each registration,” said Mike Swain, General Manager of CKC. “These new benefits provide CKC dog owners protection for accidents and injuries which are common occurrences for newly purchased pets.”
“Purchasing a puppy is a planned expense; however, many new owners often find themselves at a veterinarian’s office dealing with costly medical expenses following an accident or injury they never expected to occur,” said Swain. “The insurance benefits will help alleviate these financial burdens.”
CKC customers will also have the opportunity to purchase pet insurance at discounted prices beyond the initial 30-day coverage period.
“Our goal is for all of our products and services to add long-term value to registering a puppy or dog with CKC and make our registration meaningful and useful throughout the pet’s life,” said Swain.
CKC’s registration provides lifelong benefits because its membership is for the extent of the pet’s life with no annual membership renewal fees. CKC also provides informational resources, educational materials, low-cost registration services and is now introducing discounted pet insurance and dog-care products as well.
To further bolster the value of purchasing and registering a puppy from a CKC breeder, the company also recently entered into an agreement with Revival Animal Health and their sister brand Great Companions, one of the canine industry’s premier providers of quality health care and canine merchandise and products. Through this alliance, CKC members will receive preferential pricing on Revival and Great Companions merchandise and specially packaged products that include everything that a new puppy owner needs to introduce a puppy into their home or family.
“Together with Revival, we have developed a new puppy package that has all of the basics needed to introduce a puppy into your home including a kennel, bed, grooming supplies, health care items, training materials and more. These new puppy kits start below $80 and are a tremendous value for anyone who is starting from scratch with a new puppy,” said Swain.
Mike Roy, president of CKC, assures CKC has strived from its beginning in 1991 to be the best value in the registration industry for its breeders and for its members.
“We have backed our commitment to breeders by continuing our no litter fee policy even in the lagging economy,” said Roy. “We are equally committed to being the best in the business at supporting customers with the highest quality of service and the best values for products and services. Our partnerships with PetFirst Healthcare and Revival Animal Health further demonstrate this commitment.”
