Madison, Wisconsin (PRWEB) August 24, 2011
The Bioidentical Hormone Initiative (BHI) today announced the 1st annual BHI Symposium, Evidence-Based Approaches to Age Management: Growing A Successful BHRT Practice, to be held at Monona Terrace Community and Convention Center in Madison on September 17-18, 2011.
The symposium will be led by a host of accredited, board-certified presenters who are among the most recognized and respected in the field of bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT). The focus of the sessions is on basic science, current research, and extensive clinical applications of hormone replacement therapies and other evidence-based integrative therapies for the treatment of the symptoms of hormone imbalance, the prevention of disease, and the management of aging.
“The purpose of the symposium is to help healthcare providers gain a better understanding of the role hormone therapy can play in helping patients achieve optimal health,” says Dr. Erika Schwartz, a lead presenter and a founding director of BHI. “While BHRT has a key role to play in treating certain illnesses, we’re working on shifting the culture of healthcare away from reactive disease treatment toward a more proactive approach that emphasizes prevention and wellness.”
A sampling of symposium topics includes: how to introduce hormone therapy into your practice; protocols for treating adult male and female hormone deficiencies; the review and analysis of clinical case studies; treating thyroid and adrenal imbalances; and more.
A limit of 50 participants will offer attendees greater opportunities for interaction, engagement and networking. CME credits are also available to symposium participants. In addition to breakfast and lunch, registration includes a private chef-catered networking dinner and wine tasting at the historic Madison Club.
The symposium will conclude with a patient education seminar on Sunday, September 18 from 1:00-3:00 p.m. at Monona Terrace. Registration is $20. The public is encouraged to attend this event to learn more about BHRT and how to incorporate hormone therapy into their own proactive health and wellness program.
