About the Authors
Dr. Zoe Ziaka obtained advanced engineering degrees in Greece and the USA. She holds a BSc/Diploma, MSc, and a Ph.D. in chemical engineering. She has been nominated as a member of professional organizations, has been invited to chair scientific sessions, and was honored as “the Woman of the Year” (2003-2004), and in the “Great Women of the 21st Century” (2004-2005). She has written numerous research and technical papers, book chapters, and participated continuously in scientific symposiums. She has been a faculty member in chemical engineering in a number of high-ranking schools at USA. She also taught at Greek-European University Schools, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Management, Optimization, and Computer modeling. She has been also a Research Investigator receiving awards and grants in energy systems. She has started a scientific Institute since 1994, working on the development and commercialization of related research and projects.

Dr. Savvas Vasileiadis has a Diploma in chemical engineering with advanced engineering studies and corresponding degrees in the United States, and a MSc. and a Ph.D. in specialized Chemical and Materials Engineering fields. He consecutively completed post-doctoral research studies at USC in the Department of Chemistry and Materials Science. He is the author or coauthor of numerous peer review publications, book chapters, and technical presentations in the fields of chemical, materials, and process engineering and holds US patents in the related fields. He has received several awards, has worked in the chemical process and materials industries, and chaired in related engineering and scientific conference sessions. Dr. Vasileiadis has been an engineering faculty at various universities and has tremendous contributions in many fields. He has established an engineering company since 1994.
