Another hit in the making? Canine stars from Best Friends Animal Society promote National Spay/Neuter Month with a "dogumentary" about young love and the importance of fixing the pets you love.

Sometimes you’ve gotta fix the ones you love.

On the heels of the surprise holiday smash viral video “It’s a Jolly Holi-dog Celebration,” some more canine stars from Best Friends Animal Society® have put their best paw forward for Valentine’s Day by urging people to spay/neuter their pets.

The video on shows young girl and boy dogs, infatuated with a popular teeny-bopper singing sensation, getting ready for their big Valentine dates. The adorably nerdy guy dog is trying to get his look just right, while the gals, surrounded by images, including a doll, primp for their big night out.

And as these cute dogs get it all together, candy hearts help tell the real point of the video: “You may think your true love is perfect. But sometimes you’ve gotta fix the ones you love.”

“Best Friends Animal Society is dedicated to the mission of No More Homeless Pets® and one of the most effective tools to help us achieve that goal is spaying and neutering all pets,” said Kelly Morton, senior manager of marketing for Best Friends Animal Society. “This light-hearted video carries a serious message and we hope to encourage everyone to “Have a Heart - Spay or Neuter Your Cats and Dogs!”
