A retired business professional with international background, Callie McFarlane has chaired boards, run companies, taught mentally troubled and criminally inclined youth, written for national magazines, and (as a certified equine therapist) operated an equine facility in upstate New York that she and her husband created twenty-five years ago. Her experiences living abroad for several years provide a uniquely insightful tone to her life, philosophy, beliefs, and writing. A previously published author and poet, Callie has also contributed to the Chicken Soup for the Soul series. She writes most of her work at Carraig Cottage by the sea in Maine.
