When the founder of the top wedding resource media company in the world considers something “the best,” people listen.    Carley Roney, the founder and editor-in-chief of The Knot came to Atlanta to participate in The Bridal Extravaganza of Atlanta, and declared it the USA’s best. “I’m so excited to be at the Bridal Extravaganza of Atlanta, this is the best bridal show in the country,” said Roney in a video clip posted to the Extravaganza’s facebook fan page. “I travel almost weekly to wedding shows all across the country, and oversee all of our wedding information products, so I’d like to think I know what I am talking about.”

More than 1000 registered to attend the January 30, 2011 show at downtown Atlanta’s 200 Peachtree special event and conference center featuring more than 120 exhibitors, a professional design trends table theme showcase, live fashion shows, wedding cake and photography galleries and presentations by industry trend leaders such as Roney and wedding gown and design guru Jorge Perez.

Response to the January show continues to be very strong. “By every indication, this is going to be one major wedding season in Atlanta for so many who participated,” said Donna Jakulski, President of Plan-It productions, and the creator of the Bridal Extravaganza of Atlanta. “The response from brides and the wedding professionals who displayed or participated continues to be amazing.”

“The Bridal Extravaganza was by far the most beautifully-detailed and fun bridal show I’ve been to in the past year,” wrote bride to be Manisha Panjwani in an e-mail following the show she attended.

“I’ve done a lot of bridal shows , but the Bridal Extravaganza of Atlanta blew me away this year,” said BB Webb, the owner of Carl House a wedding venue and special event facility north of Atlanta. “Just the caliber of the brides….the vendors, the way it was organized, the whole way it was planned, Donna did an amazing job with her team and everyone there was friendly and organized. I can’t wait until the one in August.”

“Attendance of brides at the January show increased nearly 82% over last year, and we received over 102,000 post impressions in just 30 days on our facebook page,” said Michael Shoer of Creative Word & Image, the show’s social marketing director. “Clearly we are proving that this show brand engages with brides, and offers vendors a greater return on their investment than other shows, thanks to the integrated marketing approach in tandem with Donna’s incredible passion and talent for producing the perfect wedding planning event.”

The producers of the Bridal Extravaganza of Atlanta, reveling in the record-setting success of their January 2011 wedding show, not only have plans well underway for the next Bridal Extravaganza in August, but a new way to help nurture the bond between brides and wedding resource professionals in the Georgia market with debut of The Ultimate Wedding Planning Showcase. This series of more intimate events will debut on March 6, 2011 with a North Georgia regional edition at the Forsyth Conference Center in Cumming, Georgia.

“This wedding showcase is open to all brides in Atlanta who crave a more up close and personal opportunity to discover and really get to the know the wedding professionals in the area,” said Donna Jakulski, the bridal who pioneer who has transformed the traditional wedding trade show into a fully integrated design and resource showcase catering to those planning weddings. “Our Extravaganzas in January and August offer one day to see all of what the market has to offer, and the new Ultimate Wedding Showcase complements this by offering a more one-on-one opportunity for selected professionals and brides to get to know each other before entering into a business relationship.”
