The annual meeting will feature the latest findings in laboratory, translation and clinical research. More than 6,000 abstracts will be presented at the meeting, including:
- nicotine supplements and tumor growth promotion;
- cancer risk among people with AIDS, diabetes and metabolic syndrome;
- the affects of soy on breast cancer risk in a 20,000-patient study;
- new information on the role of HPV in lung cancer risk;
- beer consumption and risk of stomach cancer;
- improving the predictive value of the PSA test; and,
- new ways of diagnosing lung cancer.
The deadline for media housing requests for the AACR 102nd Annual Meeting 2011 is Friday, Feb. 25. A limited number of rooms have been set aside for editors and reporters, and we cannot guarantee that housing will be available after that date.
