As one of the nation’s leading poultry brands, Smart Chicken used mobile and cross-channel technology powered by Signal to promote a holiday recipe near the point-of-sale (POS) at 140 retail locations, resulting in an 73 percent increase in sales during the promotional period (over the same period the previous year).
Smart Chicken created and distributed holiday recipe cards at retail locations that also served as a customer’s shopping list. Each card featured a Quick Response (QR) code that customers were able to scan via mobile devices, along with a call to action for customers to text for additional information. Signal’s Auto Response campaign and QR code offering enabled Smart Chicken customers to view a mobile-optimized landing page with a link to a YouTube video in which a dietitian provided step-by-step directions on producing the holiday recipe.
