NavigationArts is proud to announce that Managing Director of Development, Dustin Collis, has received Sitecore’s “2010 Most Valuable Professional Award.” The Sitecore MVP Award, established in 2009, celebrates the most active Sitecore community members from around the world who provide online and offline expertise that enriches the community experience. Potential candidates are reviewed by an independent panel of Sitecore employees from technical, product marketing, documentation, and executive roles.
“It’s great to be recognized, but I look at this as more of a team award,” said Collis. “With so many talented Sitecore developers out there, NavigationArts has made it a focus to hire and develop amazing web talent. The MVP status is really an excellent way to say thanks to the team who make the user experience a working one.”
Since joining NavigationArts in 2006, Collis has led the development effort for clients including the U.S. Department of State and the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center. He has over 10 years of experience in all aspects of web and application development. The MVP Award recognizes Collis’ work in the Sitecore developer community this past year.
“With Sitecore, it’s easy to want to become more involved, even passionate, about the product,” said Collis. “I look at it as a way to continue evangelizing the concept of a technical experience for end users. Selecting an intuitive and powerful tool like Sitecore for web content needs is an obvious choice for many ASP.NET shops.”
MVPs are given exclusive technical resources, such as full access to the Sitecore Developer Network. Winners of this award also receive updates on Sitecore news, opportunities, and exclusive events, both locally and internationally.
