Becker-Communica Launches China-Focused Business-To-Business Marketing Communications Joint Venture

The companies have launched Becker-CMCA (http://www.becker-cmca.com), a partnership that offers America-bound Chinese companies branding, market research, public relations and advertising services.

Additionally, through its Shanghai office, Becker-CMCA can assist U.S. companies navigate local Chinese markets as well as serve as a first stop for Chinese companies in need of a marketing strategy that is appropriate for American business-to-business buyers.

“We are leveraging our respective global marketing communications services and expertise here at home and in Shanghai, China’s financial capital,” George Becker and Communica’s James Rush said. “We are the perfect fit for mid-sized Chinese companies that seek to build brand awareness of their products or that require local U.S. market expertise for attracting potential sales and distribution networks.

Becker, a former journalist and corporate communications executive who speaks Mandarin, has worked on and off with China-related companies since 1993, the year he formed his business-to-business public relations company.

On several occasions, Communica clients have asked Rush to help market their products in China. Rush is senior vice president of Communica, a 30-person firm with offices in downtown Toledo, Columbus and Troy, Mi.

Jessica Shi is in charge of Becker-CMCA’s Shanghai office. Besides experience in international trade, Shi has worked as a marketing representative in BYD Auto’s Export Trade Division.
