ResortCom International, which provides resort management, rental, reservations, travel services and financial services to the vacation ownership, fractional and luxury resort industry, has announced Enrique Aguirre as vice president of resort operations for Latin America.
With more than 20 years of experience in the resort development, hospitality and travel industries, Aguirre joins the ResortCom team to oversee properties in Mexico for divisions Tapestry Resorts, a full-service hospitality management company, and LaTour Hotels and Resorts, which offers personalized luxury hospitality management services for four- and five-star properties worldwide.
“Enrique has a depth of industry knowledge and an extensive background that will get the job done at the highest level,” said ResortCom Chairman John Small. “We are eager to welcome him to the team, as we continue to develop our company and grow business in Latin America.”
As vice president of resort operations for Latin America, Aguirre will be directly responsible for properties in San Miguel, Puerto Vallarta, Punta Mita, Haultulco, as well as developments managed by Tapestry Resorts in South America and Puerto Rico. He will oversee and is responsible for all resort and HOA management activities in Latin America, which includes the operation and development of the company’s rental program. In addition, Aguirre will supervise the Latin American properties of LaTour Signature Group, LaTour Hotels and Resorts’ elite private label that is limited to five-star developments.
Aguirre served as a collaborative writer for Alta Hotelería, a top hotel business magazine in Mexico, and as a board member for the Centro de Alta Dirección de Empresas Turísticas, an organization offering executive education programs in the hospitality industry.
His previous positions have included Royal Holiday’s Chief Quality Officer and RCI’s director for product development in Latin America, where he was responsible for the development of multiple strategic alliances and the creation of distribution channels for lead generation programs. Aguirre implemented the RCI Points program and the RCI Travel Club. He has extensive management and operational experience with Camino Real Hotels, Allegro Resorts (now Occidental Hotels), Maeva Hotels and Cintra Corporate Services.
Based in Mexico City, Aguirre is currently a Universidad de las Americas MBA candidate and has earned multiple degrees from various institutions around the world, including a strategic management degree from the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey in Mexico.
