CPAmerica International Announces Two New Members

Karp, Ackerman, Skabowski & Hogan, P.C., and Spilman, Hills & Heidebrink, Ltd., have become new members of CPAmerica International, one of the nation’s largest accounting associations.

“Through their CPAmerica membership, both firms will establish alliances with other independent firms across the nation with whom they can access valuable expertise and networking,” said Alan E. Deichler, president of CPAmerica.

Karp, Ackerman, Skabowski & Hogan, P.C., headquartered in Hudson, N.Y., and Spilman, Hills & Heidebrink, Ltd., located in Toledo, Ohio, have joined CPAmerica International, a national association of independent CPA firms that provides shared best practices, networking opportunities and access to expert resources to member firms.

“Our affiliation with CPAmerica will allow us to provide additional resources for our clients as they continue to grow in a competitive world marketplace,” said David M. Ackerman, managing partner of Karp, Ackerman, Skabowski & Hogan. The firm provides certified public accounting, taxation and business consultation services to individuals and business clients in Hudson, Saratoga Springs and Albany, N.Y.

Spilman has been serving the accounting, tax and financing needs of individuals, closely held businesses, governmental entities and non-profits in the Toledo area since 1984.

“Our CPAmerica membership will allow us to pool our resources with other firms inside and outside of the U.S. to address the special national and international situations that our clients encounter,” said John S. Hills, managing partner of Spilman.

Applicants for CPAmerica membership must undergo a rigorous quality review, and only those firms with the highest standards in all practice areas are approved by members.
