Saugatuck Technology, the leading subscription research and business strategy consulting firm focused on the Cloud, today announced the launch of a new executive conference series called the Cloud Business Summit. The inaugural event will be held on May 10th, 2011 at the Westin Times Square in New York City.

The Cloud Business Summit is the first executive conference of its kind that brings together the most Cloud-experienced senior business strategists and technology executives from medium-to-large size businesses – combined with the most comprehensive Cloud Computing business research from Saugatuck – to explore what is possible, what is real, and what is not in the Cloud. The event will focus on what progressive companies are doing right now to drive new revenue and profits from the Cloud, increase productivity and gain greater operational efficiency, all the while continuing to manage risk.

Sponsored by SAP (Platinum), IBM (Platinum), Dell Boomi (Gold), and CloudTP (Silver), as well as media sponsors, Bloomberg Businessweek Research Services and, Saugatuck has assembled a rich mix of senior business and information technology executives who will participate as speakers in the event, including Eric Armour, President, Graphic Communication Business Group, Xerox; Chris Bird, Chief Architect, Sabre; Hubert Gassner, CFO, Invensys Controls; Jason Maynard, Senior Technology Analyst, Wells Fargo; Rick Nucci, CTO, Dell Boomi; Evangelos Simoudis, Managing Director, Trident Capital; and Michael Wilens, President, Corporate Operations and Technology, Fidelity Investments, among others.

“We are very excited about the launch of this new invitation-only conference,” shared Saugatuck Technology founder and CEO Bill McNee. “The hard-hitting program, coupled with the intimacy of fewer than 200 attendees, will provide a powerful networking environment for the conference delegates to learn firsthand from their peers about how other large companies are applying Cloud business solutions, platforms and technologies to their advantage, and building winning Cloud-enabled business strategies.”

“I especially want to thank our conference Advisory Board, which includes John Schloff, VP Global Strategy at Pitney Bowes; Pat Toole, Corp VP and CIO at IBM; Manesh Patel, SVP and CIO at Sanmina-SCI; Sam Medina, CIO at Willis North America; and Gary Lynch, Managing Director and Global Leader at Marsh,” added McNee. “They have provided great guidance in helping to shape the agenda – as well as volunteering to participate in the program itself. We look forward to working with OnTrack Communications to produce a great event.”
