"The Swipe lets you see the world as we do, from a perspective that we hope you'll find informative, engaging, inspiring or, at the very least, amusing,” said Aidan Kemp, Vice President, Creative Director.

Bergdorf Goodman announces the launch of The Bergdorf Goodman Swipe, a newly created Tumblr page.
The Bergdorf Goodman Swipe invites users behind the scenes into the world of the creative and visual departments, giving them an intimate, insider's view of the store. Like a candid photo album, The Swipe allows users to join both teams as they shoot, style and get inspired, whether it's in a Moroccan souk, on set in LA or in the most obscure corners of Manhattan.
“We're visual people, and we know what we like to look at. The Swipe lets you see the world as we do, from a perspective that we hope you'll find informative, engaging, inspiring or, at the very least, amusing. Let us know what you think and follow along as we take a good hard look at a few things we find completely compelling,” said Aidan Kemp, Vice President, Creative Director.
The Swipe reveals the team’s unique vision and adventures via a visual platform that reaches a vibrant community with a wealth of perspectives. The images featured will show unexpected and intriguing corners of the store and add a second layer to The Bergdorf Goodman Magazine that is genuine, vivid and personal.
Rich Tong, Fashion Director of Tumblr, said, “We're excited to be launching our first official fashion week coverage at tumblr.com/nyfw and even more so, to welcome Bergdorf Goodman as a contributor. They fit in perfectly with the fashion community on Tumblr and their unique perspective will certainly show through their content.”
Aidan Kemp and Jesper Lund, Creative Director, will share their world during New York Fashion Week with Tumblr/NYFW. In Spring 2011, David Hoey, Senior Director, Visual Presentation, and Susan Homan, Vice President, Visual Presentation and Store Design, will join The Swipe.
