It was natural that we not only support the great work of SCL, but the dedicated orthodontic practices that make miracles happen for the neediest children.

What happens when a caring corporation reaches out to support the work of a growing orthodontic charity? Healthy smiles abound for staff, orthodontists and children in need.
“When Dolphin donated their management system to us in 2009, we were struggling to maintain accurate records and meet the needs of a few hundred children and orthodontists,” shares LeAnn Smith, Chief Operating Officer of Smiles Change Lives (SCL). “Because we had their outstanding technology during our national expansion last year, we are now managing nearly 400 orthodontic providers and thousands of applicants and participants with great efficiency.”
Dolphin Imaging and Management has named Smiles Change Lives its charity of choice because of the organization’s unwavering commitment to helping the children who most need braces. “SCL has created a very effective and powerful model for helping orthodontists to give back to kids in their community,” states Chester Wang, Director of Dolphin Imaging and Management. “It was natural that we not only support the great work of SCL, but the dedicated orthodontic practices that make miracles happen for the neediest children.”
SCL providers are thrilled to see corporations supporting their pro-bono work as well. “Dolphin Imaging and Dolphin Management were the right choice for my practice because I place the utmost priority on efficiency and high quality for my patients. SCL is the best choice for pro-bono work for the exact same reasons. As an SCL provider, I couldn’t be more pleased that Dolphin has named my charity of choice, their charity of choice,” asserts Dr. Kelly Toombs, SCL founding orthodontist and National Board Member.
With nearly 900 immediate openings, SCL is seeking applicants who meet the following criteria:
- Youth ages 11-18 with good oral hygiene
- With taxable family income at or below 200% of Federal Poverty Level
