Amazing mountain experiences that invoke confidence, curiosity and joy in kids and teenagers are the core components for this year’s CMH Summer Adventures for families. Based from the Bugaboo and Bobbie Burns Lodges just west of the Canadian Rockies, these multi-generational adventures offer the perfect combination of fun, physical activity and quality family time that is sure to engage all family members from 5 to 95.

CMH Summer Adventures know how most kids feel about “hiking” so when crafting their Family Adventures they removed all the boring bits and boosted up the fun meter. Each day, specially trained (and ridiculously fun) Family Adventure Leaders and CMH Hiking Guides gather up the kids and introduce them to the wonders of a vast mountain wilderness. Helicopter rides, high mountain ridges, mysterious forests, brilliant glacial lakes, ancient glaciers and jumbled rock moraines represent just a few of the places kids will have an opportunity to safely explore and discover. Teenagers can test their mental and physical skills on a heart-pounding via ferrata. Adults have the opportunity to hike each day on their own knowing their kids are happily entertained and well cared for. Each evening, families return to the comforts of the lodge for an evening of excited celebration, a beautifully prepared meal, and maybe even a water-fight on the lawn of the lodge.

Family Adventures are scheduled in both the Bobbie Burns Lodge (July 24 – 27 and August 8 – 11) and the Bugaboo Lodge (July 27 – 30 and August 11 – 14). Prices in Canadian dollars start from $2490 Adult, $2190 Youth (15-17), and $1870 Child (5-14) for a 3-night escape, based on double occupancy and exclusive of HST.

Multi-generational families can book at any lodge throughout the summer.
