Painting smiles to children’s faces, author Gracie Pearson collaborates with artist Francisco Arellano to bring a delightful picture book. Released through Xlibris, Bentley’s Yard: Welcome Home follows the exciting story of a little puppy who has found his new home.
Bentley is a little white Maltese born in Conyers, Georgia. He takes a long plane ride to meet his parents in Arizona. On his way to his new home, he meets Dash the Hummingbird, who gives him a warm welcome to the state. As Bentley gets comfortable in the house, he feels the love and affection that is especially given to him by his new mommy and daddy. He sleeps by the bed and enjoys the food given to him. However, there are places in the house where he is not allowed to venture. So what happens when this little pup gets a little naughty?
Bursting with vibrant illustrations in every page, Bentley’s Yard: Welcome Home tells a charming story that the little ones will enjoy over and over again. With its interactive play of words, it offers a great tool for parent-child bonding and for reading activities. About the Author and Illustrator
Gracie Pearson was born in Texas but has been living in Arizona for most of her child and adult life. She has one son who has been the focus of her life as well as the tender of her heart. She also has a loving husband who has inspired her to always believe in herself, that she can do anything she puts her mind to. After the adoption of their little white dog and overseeing the huge remodeling job of their new home on top of a hill with a little—but always green—patch of grass now called Bentley’s Yard, Gracie decided to share Bentley’s adventures through the eyes of a loving pet for all children and parents to enjoy together.
Francisco Arellano was born in Los Angeles, California, and through his service for the United States Marine Corps has lived in a variety of places including Hawaii, Australia, and Japan. While stationed in Hawaii he met his wonderful wife, Molly. They now have two sons, Xavier and Zion, who keeps their lives busy and fun-filled. Francisco and his family currently live in Arizona and they do their best to take advantage of the natural beauty the state has to offer. He is currently in pursuit of his Bachelor’s degree in Business Management as it is his ultimate goal to open his own restaurant. Francisco has long been interested in the arts and is thankful for this opportunity to be involved in the making of Bentley’s Yard and his Adventures.
