CDI College is happy to announce the launch of a new program in British Columbia: Network Systems Engineer. The latest offering is good news for residents in BC who are interested in pursuing a career in information technology.

An exciting program that is divided into five phases, the Network Systems Engineer diploma provides students with a competitive advantage over other job candidates. Students learn how to use a variety of computer software and other technological tools to perform essential business tasks, use fundamental system commands for operating systems, and apply a structured process to problem solving. Students will develop a solid foundation in establishing and applying security measures to various physical and logical network elements, and troubleshooting problems related to local and wide area networks.

Courses in the Network Systems Engineer program also focus on network installation, monitoring, maintenance, upgrading, and optimization. A practicum component is also included at the end of the program.

In addition, the Network Systems Engineer program prepares students for certification examinations in seven areas, including Computing Technology Industry Association (CompTIA), A+, Net+, Security+, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS), and Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP).

Prospective students who would like to enter the IT field must enjoy working in an independent atmosphere. It is also important to be active problem solvers and effective communicators.
