The book chronicles a year following the downsizing of her company with a month-by-month look into her thoughts and feelings as she redefines her role within her family.
Cheryl Kennedy was born in St. Albans, Vermont, and moved to Rhode Island in 1983 where she married her college sweetheart. Cheryl and her husband have two daughters, who she introduces to you in The Year Off. Cheryl has previously published poetry in various anthologies and has returned to writing after a long absence with The Year Off. Cheryl is currently working on a novel, which she hopes to complete within the next year.
