March 12 thru March 17 2011 promises to be a week of savage craic

Tigin Irish Pub and Restaurant, located at 175 Bedford St., is once again throwing the biggest St Paddy’s party in Stamford. With celebratory events beginning on Saturday, March 12 and carrying on through Thursday, March 17, it promises to be a “Week of Savage Craic.” Craic (pronounced crack) is a common term used in Ireland to describe fun, entertainment, and enjoyable conversation with good friends. Savage craic means an epic party and is the theme of this year’s celebration. The “Week of Savage Craic” will close with an outdoor festival on St. Patrick’s Day where Tigin features the best mix of Irish music, food and entertainment in the city.

During the week of St. Patrick’s Day, look forward to:

Saturday, March 12 ~ Parade Day
Kick off this St. Patrick's Day season with some 6 Nations Rugby at 9:30a with England vs Italy and Scotland vs Wales at 12p. Stick around into the afternoon for live music outside in our party tent!
Starting at 3pm with The Irish Band, followed by KC Anne & the Sunshine Band and headlining this year, don’t miss The Irish Band.

Monday, March 14th
Special Paddy’s Day Dart Tournament. Come down and show us your skills! Great pub prizes for the winners!

Tuesday, March 15th
Join us for our annual St. Patrick's Day Pub Quiz! We'll have prizes as usual, but they'll be a little bigger and better!

Wednesday, March 16th
Guinness Pour your own Pint Contest at 8pm. See if you have what it takes to pour the perfect pint. Cash prizes at stake. Anyone can enter. Contact the pub for details, or just show up and show us what you've got!

Thursday, March 17th ~ St. Patrick's Day
We'll start your day off right with our first ever Kegs and Eggs Breakfast at 8a. If you can't make breakfast, we'll be serving lunch at 10am. Beat the cover and get in before 3pm. Live music kicks off in the party tent at 3pm, featuring KC Anne and the Sunshine Band and Cray and Dempsey!

If you’ll be in Downtown Stamford during the week leading up to St. Patrick’s Day, pop into Tigín for a perfect pint of Guinness and a delicious Irish meal.
