99 leading education experts will join educators from around the world in Indianapolis this fall

“Authorspeak is an unprecedented opportunity for educators in K–12 and beyond," said Jeffrey C. Jones, president and CEO of Solution Tree.

At the Professional Learning Communities at Work™ Summit today, Solution Tree, a professional development company for educators, announced the debut of Authorspeak: The Voices of Solution Tree, a new annual event.

Authorspeak will bring together Solution Tree’s 99 most recent authors—leading experts in education theory and practice—for three days of intensive professional development, November 1–3, 2011, in Indianapolis. The new event is designed to help teachers and administrators gain practical strategies to apply to some of today’s toughest challenges and hot topics in education.

Authorspeak is organized around the top 10 topic areas: 21st century skills, assessment, instruction, leadership, literacy, principals, professional learning communities (PLCs), response to intervention (RTI), special populations and school improvement. The 99 Solution Tree authors will share information from their latest books and cutting-edge research during breakout sessions. More than 70 breakout sessions will be supplemented with lunchtime panels and opportunities for informal networking and collaboration.

“Authorspeak is an unprecedented opportunity for educators in K–12 and beyond. This new event brings together the brightest minds in education today. There will be well-known authors. There will be up-and-coming new voices. And they’re all in one place, together with teachers and administrators from around the country, for shared dialogue around common challenges,” said Jeffrey C. Jones, president and CEO of Solution Tree. “It’s going to be a great experience.”
