Growing need for online management tools highlighted during Social Networking Seminar in Sacramento.

The Sacramento Chapter of Asian Real Estate Association of America (AREAA) held a seminar on "Successful Social Networking." Regina Garcia, Founder and CEO of StreamlineREO was a guest speaker on the effective use of online management tools and how to utilize technology to set yourself apart from other real estate agents. Other panelists included TV/Internet Personality and Realtor Herman Chan; Senh Duong of; Mark Chu of Big Realty, and Tom Perkins of Transaction Point.

Mark Chu of Big Realty was adamant that all agents, regardless of how busy they are, must adapt Online Transaction Tool. Online tools such as those provided by StreamlineREO need to become a part of an agents daily routine. Keeping everything online in third party tools creates transparency. Transparency is not only between the real estate agents, and the responsible broker but if used correctly, it will create transparency between the agents on each end of a transaction eliminating misunderstandings and a more efficient and stress-free deals.

Herman Chan, TV personality demonstrated how video blogging is a fantastic way to increase your visibility online. There are many benefits to video blogging. Unlike the traditional first meeting you might have with a potential client, when someone has been able to view your videos, they feel like they already know you before you even say, "Hello!" They have already decided that they are interested or even willing to work with you. This is a huge timesaver. It is more than simply grabbing attention, you are able to let everyone know what you are all about.

Senh Duong, Founder of and explained the importance of SEO (Search Engine Optimization) and tracking. The technique goes beyond that website is not enough. First, people need to be able to find you. Second, once they find you then you need to know what happens next. Therefore, do they browse your home page and leave, or do they search further? When does a casual browser become a solid contact, and how can you increase your success rate? These questions all lead up to more visibility.

Ms. Garcia said, "Today; however, the reality is that many agents may go several months without closing any transactions. In such a market, monthly fees are hard to justify.
